Motorcyclists from across the GTA are gathering at Square One and Yorkdale shopping centres to remind drivers to be cautious when sharing the road with bikes. Some 200 people are expected to attend the Road Awareness Rally May 17. Motorcyclists will meet at Yorkdale Shopping Centre at 10 a.m. before riding to Square One Shopping Centre at 10:30 a.m. They’ll rally at Square One for an hour before breaking into smaller groups and riding to the Woodbridge AMC Theatre. Shaun de Jager, a Toronto motorcyclist who led a similar rally in March near Hurontario St. and Eglinton Ave., says there have already been way too many fallen riders on the roads this season. He hopes the rally will remind people to drive cautiously.
